Last night Andy and I took a free class at Cooking Fools in Chicago. Andy's company did the design work for Cooking Fools and Nick Faitage, the owner, asked if we wanted to attend one of his classes for free since he had some openings. We picked the brunch class. The menu consisted of shirred eggs, popovers, Dutch baby, homemade sausage, an egg and potato quiche and bloody Mary's.

Andy poses with his bloody Mary:

I model the fabulous aprons: (I was sad I couldn't take it home)

Nick spreads out some sauteed onions:

I volunteered to mix up the sausage. The recipe called for ground turkey, a diced green apple, sage and rosemary. It was super mushy, but so therapeutic. :)

The finished product:

The infamous Dutch baby. Nick sprinkled powdered sugar on top and we squeezed lemon on top of that:

Mmm, popovers:

The quiche. (We thought it would make a good Christmas dish):

Shirred eggs: (ham, eggs, cream, swiss cheese)

Dinner is served:

Cheers!
